Easiest Quiche Recipe

Easiest Quiche Recipe

Hands down, this is the easiest quiche recipe ever! 10 minutes prep time using these time saving tricks. The combination of bacon, cheese, spinach, green onions and red bell pepper are amazing! However, you can use any of your favorite combinations! There are so many delicious variations to try.

Time saving tricks that make this the easiest quiche recipe…

Pre-made refrigerated pie crust

This is a huge time saver! In fact, quiche is a really simple dish that anyone at any cooking level can whip up quickly with minimal effort. 🙂 I use refrigerated rolled pie dough (you can find it in the dairy area of the grocery store). It helps to soften it in the microwave for about 10 seconds to make it easier to spread into the pie plate.

But if you don’t have pre-made crust on hand, I do have a recipe for an easy No-Roll No-Bowl Pie Crust you can find here. It will add about 20 minutes to your prep time and because it tends to be a thicker crust, I recommend baking it for about 8 minutes before you add the filling.

Go Crustless

Crustless quiche is just as good and it’s lower in calories and fat. Not to mention, it’s quicker and easier! Just make sure to grease your pie plate generously before pouring the filling inside otherwise the egg will brown and stick to the pan. Keep an eye on it and cook until eggs are set (no longer liquid) in the center.

Simplify your add-ins to make the easiest quiche recipe ever!

Bacon – Packaged pre-cooked bacon pieces (not imitation bacon bits) usually come in 2.5-ounce packages. These are great to keep in your pantry for a quick recipe add-in.

Cheese – Again, pre-shredded cheese is a great way to reduce your prep time and keep things simple. My favorites are Colby/Jack, Cheddar, Pepper Jack and Gouda.

Variations:

Quiche is an extremely versatile dish; add whatever you love to make it your own.

These are some of my favorite combinations:

Asparagus and swiss cheese or smoked gouda

Ham and cheese

Diced chicken and black olives

Kale and bacon (leftover sauteed kale)

Spinach, mushroom and cheese

Spinach and cheese

The combinations are endless, so experiment and find your favorites!

Note: If you’re adding a vegetable that releases liquid as it cooks such as mushrooms, be careful not to overdo it or the quiche may become too liquid. Sprinkle with a thin, single layer. No more than a cup.

Make Ahead

Quiche is a great dish to make ahead of time and take it out when you need it.

Let it cool for about an hour and a half before refrigerating.

No need to heat! It’s one of those dishes that does not need to be heated. In fact, it’s often served cold. If you do choose to heat, just pop in the oven at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes, just enough to warm.

Versatility of Quiche…

Breakfast – Bake a quiche on Sunday night to serve for a quick breakfast throughout the week.

Lunch – Quiche packs nicely for lunch.

Dinner – Pair with a tossed salad for a light, healthy dinner.

Party Appetizers – Pour filling into mini muffin tins to make delicious mini quiches.
