Frappuccino Coffee Punch
Are you a fan of Starbucks Frappuccino in the bottle? Then you’ll love this Frappuccino Coffee Punch recipe! It’s sure to be a hit at your next fancy coffee worthy occasion…or every day! Simple 5 ingredients you probably already have in the house. No expensive specialty syrups required however you will need instant coffee.
Party Worthy Coffee
I’ve been using this coffee punch recipe for years, in fact before Starbucks was popular (at least here in Florida). That being said, since the Starbucks Frappuccino came out I’ve had people tell me how similar they are. Most importantly, Frappuccino Coffee Punch is great for brunches, luncheons, showers or any other get together where you would serve coffee, (special coffee) and everyone loves it!
Coffee Punch Tips:
You might want to double or triple the batch depending on the size of your party. This recipe will make approximately 4 cups (as is, if you do not add extra milk).
Also, this is a base recipe so it’s kind of strong, you might want to add more milk if you like a creamier taste, so you’ll want to taste it and adjust according to your preference. I usually add another cup or two depending on whether or not I plan on topping it off with whipped cream.
Frappuccino Coffee Punch Ingredients:
Instant Coffee
Cocoa
Sugar
Vanilla
Milk
Instant Coffee
Instant coffee builds the robust coffee base that you just would not get using brewed coffee therefore this is a must. I like Folgers brand, but any kind will work, and I honestly don’t think that you need to spend a lot on an expensive brand. I’ve also used Great Value (Wal-Mart) and it was good.
Cocoa
Cocoa gives you the rich mocha, chocolaty taste that we all love! I usually buy Hershey’s cocoa but again, any brand is fine.
Sugar
Because you’re using strong coffee and bitter chocolate (cocoa) you need a sweetener! I use regular, white granulated sugar. Personally, I haven’t experimented with alternative sweeteners since the recipe doesn’t have too much sugar in it but if you find something that’s a really good sugar alternative in this recipe, I would love to hear about it!
Vanilla
Pure vanilla extract is the best for this recipe. However, you could change it up by adding peppermint extract for a Christmas punch or any other flavor that sounds good to you!
Milk
I use regular whole or two percent cow’s milk; I’ve tried alternatives in my coffee drinks and I just prefer cow’s milk. Therefore, that’s what this recipe uses, and I can vouch for the results! But, if you’re accustomed to other milks such as, almond, cashew, soy or coconut then you’ll probably be happy with the results.
Optional Toppings:
Whipped Cream
This is optional, if you have it on hand it’s especially creamy and yummy! In addition to being very pretty and extra fancy! 🙂
Chocolate Shavings, cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, peppermint pieces…
Make Ahead…
Frappuccino Coffee Punch can be made in advance and keeps well in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. In fact, it should be made a day before using for the best flavor. If you have a covered pitcher it will come in handy…or an empty milk container will work!
Frappuccino Coffee Punch
Yield: 4 cups, Prep Time: 5 minutes
¼ cup instant coffee
5 tsp. cocoa
4 tbsp. sugar
¼ cup boiling water
¾ cup cold water
¼ tsp. vanilla extract
3 cups milk
Instructions
Combine instant coffee, cocoa and sugar. (I use a coffee mug for this step because of the hot water.)
Add ¼ cup boiling water & mix well.
Combine with cold water, vanilla and milk in punch bowl/picture.
Chill in refrigerator for 1-2 days before serving, for best taste.
Top with whipped cream if desired.
Enjoy!
P.S. Try them with Gluten Free Chocolate Brownies for a complete chocolate fix!
This coffee is much better than coffees that you buy out at coffee shops . I like to make a butch ahead of time so in the morning when you leave your coffee is ready to enjoy on your way
So glad you like it! I do the same thing!
