Cleaning Baked-On Pans Without Scrubbing

Cleaning Baked-On Pans Without Scrubbing

This simple trick is an easy way of cleaning burnt/baked-on pans without scrubbing! If you’re looking for a simple way to clean all that sticky, burnt/baked-on residue off your pans without using elbow-grease, you’re in luck! (Works great on crock-pots and casserole dishes too.)

This cleaning hack is a lifesaver! If you’re like me and you use your crock-pot on a regular basis you know what a chore it can be to clean. While your dinner has been slow-cooking for 6-8 hours inside of that pot… it’s also been cooking onto the sides of your pot to form a substance almost like concrete!

Casserole dishes can be the same way, especially the corning ware type… similar to the inside of a crock-pot, which also makes them difficult to clean! Especially if you’ve made a dish that caramelized inside of it. No worries, I have the solution!

A friend of mine shared this tip with me a few years ago and it’s pretty amazing! Let’s just say… she was in the habit of setting off her smoke detector when she cooked! On the upside, that’s how she discovered this trick for cleaning burnt pans without scrubbing! Therefore, she is the inspiration behind this,” Cleaning Baked-On Pans Without Scrubbing” post.

Let soak for at least 30 minutes.

Next, wipe out with a sponge, that’s it! As promised, no scrubbing! Occasionally, if something is extra baked on I’ll need to use the abrasive side of the sponge a few times to remove the excess residue but that is rare. Rinse well with hot water. Also, I suggest wearing gloves as this cleaner is harsh on hands.
