Easiest Ever Pulled Chicken

Easiest Ever Pulled Chicken

Serves: 6-8

Great for feeding a crowd, with a prep time of 5 minutes! This recipe is so easy to make… I’m not sure if I should call it a recipe! It’s more like simple instructions. Double the recipe if you need to feed more people!

This is my go-to recipe for my son’s ROTC events where I need to bring something that will feed a bunch of teenagers and they will actually eat it! It goes quick, in fact…in case you’re looking for something like that!

This recipe yields around 8 sandwiches, using regular size hamburger buns, but your results will vary depending on the size of the chicken breasts you use. I buy chicken in the big family packs at Aldi’s or Sam’s club so they are good size. If you’re using cage-free/organic chicken you will probably want to use 1 or 2 more since they’re typically smaller.

Ingredients

There’s only two. The type of BBQ sauce you use, and the size of your chicken breasts are your only variables. If you like it sweet I highly recommend this sauce. We love Chipotle in our house…it gives it that extra smoky sort of flavor. This is our favorite sauce.

Instructions

2 Large Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts

18 oz. bottle of BBQ Sauce

Lightly oil the inside of crockpot. (to keep chicken from sticking to sides)

Place chicken inside of pot.

Pour sauce over chicken and stir to make sure that chicken is covered on all sides.

Cook on low for 4 hours.

(Chicken is done when it’s tender and pulls apart easily with a fork, it should fall apart.)

Pull chicken apart using two forks or tongs.

Serve on buns.

Serves 4-6
