Homemade Taco Seasoning (Gluten Free)

Homemade Taco Seasoning (Gluten Free)

Have you ever read the ingredients on a package of taco seasoning? I’m pretty sure a lot of those chemicals are unnecessary… and in our case we needed it to be gluten free. That’s when I started making my own homemade taco seasoning (gluten free), it’s much better anyways! I always keep a batch in the pantry so it’s ready when I need it for my favorite recipes. It is a bit spicy with the red pepper flakes, just leave it out if you don’t like it hot.

Uses for Homemade Taco Seasoning (Gluten Free)…

This is one of those seasonings that I can’t do without. Because we love Tex-Mex food in our house we go through quite a bit of this stuff! I use it in Tacos, my 5 Minute Chicken Burrito Filling, Baked Mexican Salsa Chicken… I even sprinkle it on popcorn.

Storage…

You’ll want to store your taco seasoning in an airtight container to keep it fresh. I like to use a wide-mouth jar because it’s easier to get my measuring cup inside of it when I’m using it in recipes.

Spices…

Lastly, I buy my spices in bulk at Sam’s Club since I use substantial amounts of some of them when making my own seasonings. Chili powder and cumin go especially quick. Plus, it’s more cost effective which is never a bad thing!
